Anatomical Insole
Shaped around natural foot anatomy — wider forefoot, supported arch, cushioned heel. Designed for a day of walking, not just standing still.
What goes into each pair
Every component of a MAHER shoe is chosen for how it performs, how it feels, and how it ages. Nothing is there by accident.
Upper materials
We use full-grain leather as our primary upper material across the MAHER range. Full-grain is the strongest, most durable cut — it hasn't been sanded or buffed to remove marks, which means it retains the natural fibre structure that gives leather its strength and develops a genuine patina over time.
For the MAHER@ line, we also work with quality suedes, embossed leathers, and patterned textiles — chosen for texture and visual character. Every material undergoes wear testing before it reaches a final product.
The strongest, most breathable cut of leather. Develops a rich patina with wear. Used across the core MAHER range for durability and character.
Soft, napped finish with a tactile quality that develops character over time. Sourced from the same tanneries as our full-grain leathers.
Patterned surface texture pressed into full-grain leather. Used in statement silhouettes for the MAHER@ line — visual interest without sacrificing durability.
Breathable moisture-wicking textile linings used throughout. Selected for thermal management, friction reduction, and long-term comfort against the skin.
Comfort system
Shaped around natural foot anatomy — wider forefoot, supported arch, cushioned heel. Designed for a day of walking, not just standing still.
A shock-absorbing midsole layer sits between the insole and outsole — reducing impact from hard surfaces and distributing pressure across the foot.
Rubber outsoles with considered traction patterns — flexible enough to move naturally, durable enough to hold up over time and varied terrain.
Wider than standard, the MAHER toe box allows natural toe splay — reducing pressure and improving stability across extended wear.
Good to know: MAHER shoes are designed to feel comfortable from day one. The insole and lining will soften slightly with the first few wears, and leather uppers develop to the foot over time. If your new pair feels firm in the first wear, give them a few days — they're designed to earn their place.
Fit notes
MAHER runs true to European sizing. If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up — particularly for closed-toe styles where the leather will soften slightly with wear.
The standard MAHER last is a medium/D width. Those with wider feet may prefer to size up half. Wide fit versions are noted on individual product pages where available.
